The organisation was founded in 1992 by local residents with an aim of supporting those living in the area of benefit, to help relieve poverty and advance education, especially among the young and the unemployed, to promote training in skills of all kinds especially those skills which will assist residents in obtaining gainful and satisfying employment.  The organisation has considerable experience of offering a range of initiatives, activities and projects to the community which are aimed at addressing disadvantage, reducing inequalities, building community cohesion, improving the health of local residents and improving the environment in which our beneficiaries live.
